that was kicking up before in loudoun county. it's out of the way. i can't say we're out of the clear 100% for tonight yet. let's go to our weather maps and we'll show you what is happening elsewhere. we have a lot of moisture that's going to be pushing up from the south, as a result of this weak low pressure system. that is what will set us up for a chance of getting more wet weather into the course of tonight. we have this weak low pressure system here. next thing is a frontal system moving in from the west. a combination of these things happening leaving us a little bit unsettled. rainfall totals today, taken from earlier today. over .25 inches for reagan. same for dulles. bwi thurgood marshall, over 3 inches of rainfall. this is a record-breaking day for them. this amount breaking a record set back in i want to say 1984 or '74. that's where they had a lot of the heavier storms that moved through today. some of those storms crawled their way across. tucker barnes sent me a picture from annapolis, because they were getting a lot of water there as well. we could see some problems into hi

already for a substitute teacher in loudoun county. the middle schoolteacher is charged with being drunk in public after officials said she was intoxicated after she showed up for the first day of class. >> august 27th was the first day of school for loudoun county, including stone hill middle school. minutes before the bell rang, staff noticed a substitute teacher act aing intoxicated. >> we look after not only our staff and he and the staff noticed that one of our substitute assistant teachers was acting a little differently. >> 50-year-old jack lean barnes charged with drinking in public had been with loudoun county schools for six months and school officials want to emphasize she had no interaction with any kids that morning before her arrest. >> no students had any interaction with the substitute assistant teacher and as far as we know, everything went off as normal. >> reporter: this isn't the first time loudoun county had dealt with staff showing up to work drunk. she was arrested last year as was this physics teacher at jane michael lunzford middle school. we reached out to ms. b
out in loudoun county, then back down here towards culpeper county. we'll shoot into loudoun county real quick. this is mainly running south of percival, south of leesburg kind of between the two. this is weakening, okay? there's still thunder and light anyone left, but it seems to be -- lightning left, but it seems to be dying out. the bigger storm is in northern sections of culpeper county moving east and northeast and growing. there's a lot of lightning in this tonight and heavy rain. we'll continue i think to watch this move right up into fauquier county up towards marshall, eventually crossing over 66. it will probably make it into loudoun. as we look at this in three dimensional view, the updrafts in this storm, there's a lot of real good updraft energy here. i just looked at this in terms of the radar, our own live radar and how much lightning it was producing, again very electric storm here. so no doubt this is loud and it's carrying with it a lot of very heavy rain. again nothing around the district tonight. most of the thunderstorms and showers are back out to the west. e
